Re: New Golf shop opening in Hua Hin

If anyone is interested in golf clubs, I have several for sale. They belonged to my wife's late husband. I'm not a golfer and know nothing about them other than they are pro clubs and in good condition. If interested I can give you the brand names and types of the clubs. There's also a US-made Big ...

Re: Covid19 - updates on immigration and visa extensions

I had the same experience on Tues. I handed in the paperwork for my marriage visa a month ago and returned this past Tues. to get my passport stamped and 90-day ticket. I waited 2 1/2 hours for my turn. 5 people in front of me. There's only 1 officer who does the yearly renewals. He's a nice person ...

Re: What's Going On - Traffic Chaos

Just been out on my bike.... Phetkasem Road between say Bluport & MV is heaving! I'd say there's between 50-100% 'more' traffic on the road than normal, and I see the traffic along this section every day at various times. I didn't really study Southbound but Northbound is way, way busier than n...

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues

As with every previous year, my yardstick for measuring local tourism has been how many abreast I encounter people walking down Soi 94. On 2 occasions in the last week I have encountered 5 abreast. It does not equate to previous years, but it's only 18th December yet. I guess the signs are looking ...

Re: PT Prachuap Grand Prix 2021 scheduled for late November

Seem to be making do. At the pier, just south & north of, no guardrail, and half way into the market set up, there's only one piece of three, so easily stepped over. Where it does block crossing the road, more northward, is where non food vendor used to set up, and most haven't really returned ...

Re: Keto Diet

I agree with the above. Daily fasting does work. However, avoid whole day fasting. The body goes into 'starvation mode' and starts storing fat. It doesn't really relate to the Keto diet though. The main object is to reduce carb intake thereby reducing the sugar in your body which is normally used a...

Re: Booster Vaccines - Covid 19

As far as I know, there's quite a difference between the flu booster shot and the Covid shot. The flu shot has been around for years and was tested for years before being released to the public. The Covid shot was rushed out and there are still many unknowns, including the long-term effects. I'm in...

Re: Keto Diet

intermittent fasting works well. Eat whatever you want during an 8 hr. period, then fast for 15 hrs. And as you say, half of that is sleeping. After a while, your body gets used to it and stops craving food all the time. Comfort food, whatever that is for anyone, is the killer. I ignore food by read...
