Re: Thailand tourist slump continues
Maybe people who have come here before are tired of coming to Thailand and are going to other countries and maybe they are telling their friends that it's too much of a hassle dealing with immigration and paying the extra charges that Imm. dreams up and that the price of everything is increasing an...

Re: The bikers thread; trips, news, chat, all things motorcycle
Hi Scout,
I always replace the tire with a new one, not taking any chances. Some might argue it's a waste of money but I kinda cherish my life keeping in mind the strain that a bike tire has to endure.
Cheers,
B.

Hi Gregjam,
It's your old friend again, Golden Tree Snake (Chrysopelea ornata ornatissima) or in Thai Ngoo kee-ow ly dok mak. Mildly venomous but not dangerous to humans.

Re: Snakes in the house and garden
We have had a few snakes visiting us of late, I think the one in the photo is the same as mentioned by HHTel but not sure if it may be a Golden Tree Snake or of that family. Hi Gregjam, 99% sure this is a golden tree snake. The oriental whip snake has a much more pointier head. Also the black verti...

Re: 2019 F1 News and Prediction Tournament
Thank you...a bit surprised to be leading the pack. I'm sure this will change with Bahrain. I had Ferrari down much stronger and they clearly have some work to do. Guess I was lucky with my choice of TOP 10.

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues
Really?? I'm not doubting you Blacky because your report will be a lot more reliable than anything reported officially in this country. Back in December, I was reading stories about tumbleweed in the streets of resorts down South, while at the same time TAT reported Hua Hin as 'full'. As I thought,...

Re: Thailand tourist slump continues
Maybe the name of the thread should change to "Hua Hin tourist slump continues"....down here, the southern tourist hotspots are packed. Has been since December and no sign of stopping, even more with Easter being after Songkran this year. Here in Krabi national tourism is quite small compa...

Hey Arran,
Try the Colonial Beach Club just opposite of Market Village. Nice layout, good food and drinks and an infinity pool overlooking the beach and ocean.

Re: Pediatrician in HuaHin?
I can fully recommend Doctor A. at the Pediatric Department at Bangkok Hospital! He accompanied my three kids over the 5 years we lived in Hua Hin and never gave us reason to complain. He has been around the block a few times and is a well experienced Pediatrician.
