Clean Hua Hin's beaches movement - Trash Hero
These are guys you absolutely have to support: https://www.facebook.com/trashherohuahin/ Each year, I feel like the beaches north and south of Hua Hin are getting dirtier. Last week thick dark foam near the airport, direction Khao Takiab, well, it's all littered with plastic, bottles, bags, you name...

Webster University a "diploma mill"?
Interesting article by never-tired Andrew Drummond on Webster University north of Hua Hin: Amazing allegations of embezzlement, corruption, and incompetence have been made against Webster’s University of Thailand which has its major campus in Cham-Am. The allegations have been made by a former educa...

Looking for 300-400 sqm in Hua Hin
Anyone knows about a 300-400 sqm area for rent in Hua Hin, preferably not too far away from the center?
Could be an old factory building or whatever, should be spacey and airy.
Please PM in case you could refer to the right building, will pay the usual commission.

Re: Good Hua Hin gym, anyone?
Interesting, thanks for the inputs so far. PowerFit 102 have a lengthy update on their site why they closed.
Those guys really are dedicated, maybe Hua Hin needs something that also applies to the broader market.
Maybe check a hotel fitness club in Hua Hin? Anyone?

Good Hua Hin gym, anyone?
Am looking for a good gym in Hua Hin. Can you recommend any, with not too old machines, (small) healthy menu and drinks, all in a bright nice environment?
Or could there even be a market for a state-of-the-art gym in HH? (Am not aware of any...)

Thai teacher for medium/advanced student required
During the X-mas break we're looking for a Thai tutor in Hua Hin teaching our 15-year-old son twice or thrice a week.
His level is medium, he needs to improve eading and writing skills.
If you know someone for a reasonable price, please PM.
Thank you very much.

Re: Why no yacht day trips in Hua Hin?
Lot's of yacht rentals here in California. Usually rented by companies for parties/marketing. Private parties also rent, but pretty costly. Perhaps not a market for it in HH I think it comes down to that, no market for it. I'm not a yacht person, but if I wanted to go out on a day trip, one of the ...

Thanks BB!Big Boy wrote:Contact Barry at Mermaid Cruises, he might be able to help you. There's a nice yacht often tied at his marina that could offer you what you want.
Still wonder, why no market for it?!

Why no yacht day trips in Hua Hin?
I understand there are Mermaid Cruises, they do an excellent job providing sustainable transportation and showing the beauty of the gulf. Yet there's the problem. No higher-end luxury yachts in Hua Hin providing day trips a bit more elaborate than what's available. No market? Not a good enough marin...

Care for the elderly service?
More and more pensioners from overseas are spending the winter months in the Hua Hin area. Some homes for the elderly already exist, but is anyone aware of an outsourcing service that provides nurses and day-to-day help for people who need assistance for shopping, basic medical needs and so forth?

Re: What food you miss in Hua Hin?
I'm not sure selling things like wine and cheese at reasonable prices is possible here. Those are luxury items in Thailand and two of my biggest grocery expenses every month. That's exactly my point hhfarang. Reasonably priced meaning better priced than the rest. And there's local blue cheese of hi...

Could a Deli with local, reasonably priced quality products, such as cheese, special bread etc., and nicely priced imports of Mediterranean kitchen grab your attention?
