Where to donate old clothes?

Hi folks, Can anyone give me a heads up on where, or who to give clothes to? "Her indoors" and I are having a clear out and most of the stuff is far too good to stick in the bin so we were wondering where or who we could donate them to? It would have been the charity shop back in the UK. A...

Re: Removal services from Bangkok to Hua Hin

Give JVK Movers in Bangkok a call. Ask for Craig Sommerville and tell him Peter recommended them who they moved from Manchester UK to Hua Hin. Possibly the most painless and most proffesional move I have ever experienced.

Re: New Indian Soi 80 / Railway Road

The thread is titled "New Indian Soi 80/Railway rd. Quite correct Oakdale160. Me and "her indoors" went here last night mainly due the favourable comments it has been getting on this thread. It's called the Sanjyi Restaurant and we were NOT disappointed. The food, service and staff w...

Re: Best Visa To Have...???

It's an interesting scenario as I'm 50 soon and intend spending more time in Thailand whilst still working away but I'd always assumed that to get a retirement visa, a major requirement would be being retired! Steve G, If you want any info, pm me. I am on a 6 and 6 rotation mate. I think they call ...

Visa Run

Hi folks, Due to HH Immigration being greedy bastards and totally unhelpful it seems I will need to do a visa run around 17th/18th October to get a 15 day extension or else I'm in the sh*t. I have never had to do this before so am pretty naïve as to where to go and what the process is. Can anyone of...

Re: Best Visa To Have...???

I'd suggest the two solutions mentioned above. If you don't fancy applying for a tourist visa (good for 60 days and you can extend for another 30 if ever necessary) each time, then piggyback on your wife's retirement extension. For the latter, you'll need to show that you're married, so marriage ce...

No joy whatsoever at immigration today Big Boy. Unless I gave them 14000 baht of course.

60 day Tourist Visa

Hi all,

Is it possible to get a 60 day tourist visa when physically entering Thailand or does it have to done in your home country?

I know you automatically get 30 days but wondered if I could ask at immigration for a longer one.

Re: Hey Brits - Is this true?

I'm in the UK at the moment and it would seem that the Royal Family is as popular as it has ever been, even Charles seems to be more accepted these days than he was maybe 10-20 years ago. It's pretty clear that William and Kate have given them a breath of fresh air, as will the birth of the new Pri...

Re: Best Visa To Have...???

Can the husband piggyback onto the wife's retirement visa? May be a challenge for the immigration office to understand the reverse concept. If that's possible perhaps the only thing needed is a multiple entry stamp? Pete  Good info prcscct and Big Boy, cheers. How do you do that then...??? ...

Best Visa To Have...???

Hi folks, Just looking for some advice on the best way forward. I have a home in HH. My wife lives on a retirement visa but I have only ever entered on a tourist visa as I work elsewhere and am on a 9 weeks on, 3 weeks off rotation. So the 30 day tourist visa has always been sufficient each time ent...
