Has anyone managed to register a non-Thai mobile phone to receive SMS from their Thai bank? SCB tells me the notification number must be to a Thai mobile. Is this true for all Thai banks?
Thank you.

Re: Tips for recycling and reducing plastic use in Thailand
Bluport has a recycling kiosk for batteries, fluorescent tubelights etc. It's next to the ground floor carpark entrance leading to Amazon Coffee.

Multiple entries without a visa
Are there regulations about how many times one can enter Thailand in a year? After many years of renewing my retirement visa but never spending more than 5 continuous weeks in Thailand I'm thinking of not renewing it. Instead, I would get the 30 days entry stamp, arrive with an onward airline ticket...

Re: Hua Hin Hospital Express Clinic has moved
For a first time visitor to Hua Hin Hospital, what is the procedure to be seen quickly? Which building is the one to go to? And where to park the car? Plus any other advice.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: AirAsia route Hua Hin to KL
I was on yesterday's flight from Kuala Lumpur escaping the forest fire pollution. Bought my return ticket the day before for THB4,500 including 2 meals and premium seat selection but no checked in bags. I've got another return ticket for October/November bought a few weeks ago for which I paid THB2,...

Re: Thailand Immigration: getting tough with guests (TM30 24 hour reporting)
I did the 24 hour notification at Bluport. Handed the officer a completed TM30. She tapped at her computer wrote on a slip of paper and stapled it into my passport. The slip confirms my address in Hua Hin and today's date. It took 10 minutes in all. I arrived from Kuala Lumpur yesterday. For the fir...

Re: Immigration 24 hour address registration clampdown starts in Phuket
A friend renewing his 12 month retirement visa at Muang Thong Thani a couple of days ago was asked why he hadn't done his 24 hour report with the TM30 form when he re-entered Thailand a month or two ago. He could have been fined, but wasn't, just redirected to the 24 hour registration queue which to...

Is there an electrician who is good with TVs or a Panasonic agent in Hua Hin who can do the replacement? It will mean removing the back of the television. With thanks.

Dr. Pairat's clinic is closed for a few days. If it is, it can only be for a very few days. I was there a couple of days ago with my wife and she has a follow-up appointment on the 11th. Are you sure you were there during opening hours? It's only open from 8:30 am till noon and from 5 - 8:30 pm in ...

Re: What's Happened To The Water Supply in Hua Hin?
Are small water based businesses closing down? Within the last month the car wash I use at Khao Takiab has been demolished; and the coin operated washing machine laundry that I use further south is more or less abandoned with none of the machines functioning and no water supply. If there is a coin o...

Re: Eye Specialist
Dr. Pairat's clinic is closed for a few days. A google search returns an eye clinic opposite Hua Hin hospital. The specialist is Dr. Arunee. Has anybody used its services? Or can recommend and ophthalmologist to treat an eye infection? With thanks.

Re: Pediatrician in HuaHin?
My visitors from Europe may need the services of a paediatrician for their infant who is susceptible to chest infections. Can you recommend a doctor or a clinic/hospital? With thanks.
