Re: Any downside to retiring in Hua Hin
You are only allowed into the country one year at a time with no guarantee that you will be allowed in the next year, 800,000 baht tied up in a Thai bank for at least 90 days every year, you must report to immigration every 90 days for the rest of your life. Major red tape and government paper work...

Re: UHDTV's 4k
you will have to look into 4K content streaming on the net. Like Netflicks. Most of which are blocked going to Thailand. There are no 4K broadcasters in Thailand as they just switched to digital transmission of 1080/720p HD. I doubt you even saw a 4K source in the store, or maybe a stream from a har...

Re: Upscale shopping in Hua Hin
Go to the Market Village mall. Items manufactured outside Thailand are more expensive here than in the US. The airport in Bangkok has a massive duty free area. Maybe cheaper than US. You would need to compare prices on the Internet.

Kawasaki dealership with motorcycles near Hua Hin?
I can't find any Kawasaki dealerships in Hua Hia that have motorcycles in stock. They only have scooters. Where is the closest Kawasaki dealership to Hua Hin that has motorcycles? I want to look at a Versys and a KLX 250. Thanks.

Re: Need to get medical certificate for drivers license
Thanks everyone. I just got my letter from the "Poly Clinic". I walked in and said "I need a letter for my drivers license". She asked me for my passport and asked me to have a seat. While I waited I wondered what sort of test they might perform on me to determine my ability to o...
