plenty of ATMs here so no worries there.
weather is fine now, tail end of the wet season so you may get the odd shower.

Unfortunately we only have prehistoric dial-up connection here that usually only functions at half the speed it should when its not raining so streaming video may be a little impractical :roll:

If you want Issan food theres a place called 'sadam' (written in thai) across the railway near the 7-11 opposite the turning to Pala-U, also try Sara Janes down Neabkehardt road. For seafood I've always rated Chao Ley at the end of Thanon Dechanuchit. Good value Thai food can be found at any of the ...

You should be okay around that time. Peak times are december/january and public holidays (many Thai's from Bangkok come to Hua Hin and accom gets full quick). No experience with the place you mentioned so cant comment ... maybe someone else will.

That figure would be enough here, you can rent a furnished house for 8000 per month. meals are cheap too if you stay away from the tourist restaurants near the Hilton. I guess depending on your spending habits both places should cost around the same.

Hua Hin is very seasonal and not as busy as Bangkok or Pattaya, that in some ways is the attraction. This year has been the quietest low season I have ever seen due to war/SARS etc. Its starting to get better now and will get busier into October as a run up for the high season.
