Re: HOW DO YOU GET YOUR PENSION PAID TO YOU IN LOS
.. is Bangkok Bank NY branch. Open up an account with them ... Fees: $10 (anything over $2,000) from BKK BK NY and .025% for conversion of $ to Thai Baht in Thailand (when it reaches your account in Thailand). Did you have to go to NYC to open the account? Because I'm a victim of New Math, .025% on...

Re: ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Movies at Hua Hin Cinema
I still believe for the Thai/Farang ratio in Hua Hin we are getting a good service. I agree. When I first arrived here last September, I prepared myself to not see another English-language movie unless I travelled back to "civilization". I've been pleasantly surprised, that most of the ne...

Re: HOW DO YOU GET YOUR PENSION PAID TO YOU IN LOS
I opened a bank account with Bangkok Bank, which has branches in USA. I go (on-line) to my USA credit union (which receives my pension deposit monthly) and transfer an amount at no cost to my account with Bangkok Bank (New York branch), which is available to me at a BKK Bank ATM here in Thailand wit...

avacado smoked back and all imported beef or lamb i think from new zealand. I think, before you post, you should spare a thought for those members that are stuck in places like Samut Sakhon. Spare a moment for those forum members who could possibly be reading this while chewing on a 12 baht tuna sa...

Any recommendations for Toyota service (OTHER than HuaHin)?
Can anyone recommend a good Toyota service/maintenance facility, OTHER than the Toyota dealer here in Hua Hin? Today (for 150 baht) I actually watched three of their mechanics look at my engine, scratch their head then tell me I must have bought cheap gas. Really disappointed and underwhelmed with t...

Re: InvadeIT sold by the Danes who started it?
Sad if true as I bought several IT products from them and got excellent service there. I concur... I bought several items from them, both via internet when living in Afghanistan (before I even knew where Hua Hin was), and in person recently. They provided excellent service. Thomas was always extrem...

Re: Hellmann's Mayonnaise
Today we bought a bag of "Best Foods" mayo, at Makro. It's the exact same product as Hellman's. We just transfer it to an old jar and put in the refrigerator. A liter bag lasts us 3 months.

Re: Mexican food!
Well, we are coming for lunch to T90 this afternoon to judge for ourselves. I was never a fan of "authentic" Mexican food, but love a good Tex-Mex meal.

Yeah, that's probably it. We have been trying it later in the evening.

"Chicken Wrap" outside Tesco in Market Village
Anyone know what's going on with the "chicken wrap" place in the Tesco food court at Market Village? It's been vacant the last two times we stopped by. Are they out of business?

Wanted - 150cc or larger cycle rental
I'm looking for a 150cc (like the PCX), or larger (like the Forza 300cc) cycle rental for a month. The 125's/115's are too small for me
Thanks

Re: Good jeweler shop in Hua Hin?
In November, I had a shop re-size (make smaller) my wife's gold ring; for 500 baht they did an excellent job. I'm pretty sure the name was "Star Jem"; I found directions to it, in a post from last year... http://www.huahinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=24183&p=309236&hilit=ring...
