Re: pdf -> word

OpenOffice runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. You can import a pdf into the draw program, make changes and save it as a file that can be opened by the word processor. From there you can export to Word format, though my version shows support only up to Word 2007. There are some problems with older pdf ...

Re: Pattaya > < Hua Hin

This thread is too long for me to see if the minivan between Pattaya and HH was discussed. Took it to Pattaya last week. The trip convinced me to come home via Bangkok. What happened? Van was at start point when we got there 20 minutes before scheduled departure time. Didn't leave until 25 minutes a...

Re: Date of embassy income letter for Non Imm O extension

Before I applied for my 12 month extension of permission to stay in the Kingdom I visited HH Immigration last year to be sure I knew what was expected. I had an income letter from the embassy that I'd used a few months early to get my Non-Imm 'O' visa. The clerk said I needed a new letter. I agreed ...

Re: What is your top ten favourite films of all time?

Arrgh! Only ten? Narrowed it down to ten by listing the ones I've recommended most often. In no particular order: The Triplettes of Belleville Days of Heaven The Right Stuff There's Something About Mary Strictly Ballroom Reservoir Dogs Old Boy - Never recommended these three because everybody knew a...

I googled "hua hin" and "girl friendly". Two results pointed to forum posts. You'll find the answer about Thipurai City Hotel there.

Re: Hua Hin condo block using asbestos

Asbestos in the abstract is not a problem. Asbestos in the air is the problem. There are fireproof roofing materials currently for sale in the US (the land of too many lawyers per square inch) which contain asbestos.

Re: Songs to listen to on FULL VOLUME.

The band wasn't kidding when they printed the following on the album notes, in all caps: TO BE PLAYED AT MAXIMUM VOLUME. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLnPd7lzT4g Of course, it goes without saying that FULL VOLUME is essential for anything by Spinal Tap Big bottom, big bottom Talk about mud flaps, ...

Re: The Thailand Photo Thread

I hope the last photo was Photoshopped? If not its radio active... :shock: It never fails to captivate me to see how bright the center of a lotus flower is in strong morning sun. Post processing was minimal. Made the shadows a bit darker, raised the highlights a bit, passed it through an unsharp ma...

Curious why east to west rather than west to east. So you can watch the sun set into the Pacific on the last day of the trip?

Re: Petition: English language movies at Hua Hin cineplex

The cinema has changed their lineup 3 or 4 times now without any English soundtrack films. Their test is over, I'm afraid, because they didn't sell enough tickets.
