Re: Blue house book in your name

The owner of a yellow book can use the book to obtain a pink Thai identity card from Tessaban. It can't be used for anything other purpose than to impress the police when you are stopped in a routine-control because they've never seen one before and because of that they let you through, Good and sou...

Re: Bangkok Hospital: hope you have health insurance or plenty of cash

Sorry to hear about your rather bad experiences and I can only say that I have a totally different view on their hospitals. In December last year I had an eye-operation at St. Mary's Hospital in Korat. I can not complain about their service because it was excellent, just as eye doctor Dr. Pairat in ...

Re: Police corruption, drug tested in Hua Hin

Are you saying that you have been living here since early 1980? I don't believe you! You are stating that the cops are NOT picking on farangs, IN HUA HIN, BANGKOK, PHUKET, CHANG MAI and absolutely not in PATTAYA, then I dare to say you must be blind. A statement like ; they are just doing their job ...

Next time just ask for a pink burger. If they don't understand all you have to do is clarifying and pinpointing what you have in mind.

Re: Very quiet in Hua Hin

Sorry my man. The greed started here in Thailand the year 1997 with the Tom Yum Goong crisis, initiated by some Hungarian named György Schwartz a bit later known as George Soros. When all that is said; greed seems to the solemnly ruler and lawmaker in Thailand so I couldn't care less. Use your brain...

That picture no. 2 says; no traffic straightforward, make a right turn.
What is the point with signs if you are told to just ignore them?
I'm totally with you on this BB and this is just nothing I'm able to adapt to.

Re: Thais rank low again at English

Yes you are quite right HHTel. Weather you are a tourist or expat, just why would anybody compare the mighty English language with the Thai-language? Weather you live in Thailand or not, it's totally up to the hosts if they want to be able to communicate with us or not. Thailand is promoting it self...

Re: Snakes in the house and garden

Yes it's a rat snake and completely harmless but Thai people will kill it and enjoy their dinner.
It will bite you, no question about that, but this is the primary target (dinner) for any King Cobra, so you better be careful when you see one.
Non toxic but a really big fighter if threaten.

Yeah, some really good information there.
Should I say MY BAD or mining a bite!
It's just as useful as a suitcase filled up with ' yes we lost the war', bit we love the combat!
Bite vs byte, is just a question about your brain size.
Or isn't it?
