thai police

me & my friend drove for 3 weeks from bkk to ubon, udon, phitsanulok, chang rai, chang mai, kanchanaburi back to bkk then hua hin. we encountered numerous police road blocks & were stopped about 5 times. usually a polite nod & a smile was enough to get waved through & on the times we ...

gun control

its always sad when innocent people lose their lives in this tragic way. unfortunately it seems to become less & less surprising these days especially in the states where guns are far to easily accessible. it has to be said that no amount of legislation could have prevented what happened in virg...

work ethic

i agree with supertonic. it is a problem in the uk too & probably worldwide. the world is so small now & technically advanced that the majority of young people are not interested in manual, hands on work anymore. the skills & trade shortage of the 80's & 90's is getting ever wider. i...

thai safety

i agree that the safety levels of thai life in general is a bit haphazard to say the least! after travelling around thailand for 6 weeks i was quite amazed at the general lack of safety awareness. general building site safety is practically non existant, the site of whole families (4or 5) on a moped...

hi all, thanks for your replys & comments. i know it will be a difficult process but i must admit i find it hard to understand why. yes, there are a lot of not so genuine cases & immigration is becoming a bit of a serious problem in the uk at present. i would like to add that my situation is...
