Not these days - at our previous house we had a large (11x7m) pool but it tended to get used mainly by visitors, so keeping it clean and maintained was a time consuming and somewhat costly process and on the basis that we decided to spend 4-5 months a year in the UK, a problem I no longer have to worry about when we’re away, plus a much smaller garden area with no grass, so no gardener required while we’re away.

Had plenty of heavy rain here earlier, with accompanying damp patch times x2 in 2 bedrooms. Plus a 10.00 repair date in place for the morning!

Just been a short sharp storm here in HH Central.

All peaceful now...

According to ThaiMet

Hua Hin had 156mm in May versus an average of 105 for the month so roughly 50% more, pretty wet!

Think most of it fell that Sat night(10 May) when all the bars were closed(they may as well have been in that weather!)

June has an average of 79mm

Don't know what's happening elsewhere in Hua Hin, but we have just been subject to a massive bombardment of rain here. Not often it is so heavy for such a long period. Think I'll give driving to town a miss!

A question for any electrical "experts".

During that bombardment my place had 5 very short power cuts(a few seconds). I've noticed in my garden there is a large palm tree with one of the branches in contact with the power line into my home.(too high up for my step ladders to reach) Could this be the source of the cuts? cheers

No expert, but I had two, quite close to each other. At first, I thought the worst, but then I just assumed the leccy people were switching the power around, if that makes sense?
