I am hearing from a couple of mates that are resident that 'low season' has hit Pattaya hard and fast already.
I suggested it was the usual lul before the Songkran 'storm', however they are insisting it's worse than that !
How are things looking in HH ?
Low Season yet ?

Still busy here, theres a thread on the thaivisa.com forum about how many farangs are in HH:

It should start to slow down after the 'storm' though.

Hi Buksida.... checked the link to "many farang" obviously there are lots of tourists, but I just spoke with one of the girls at the U-turn, and she insisted that there were not many customers..!! Maybe so that I won't worry she is getting too much 'business' !! Well, good to hear all the bars should be having a banner year. Too bad, but you are probably correct that it is at the expense of Phuket and some of the other islands that took the brunt of the Tsunami damage.
This "low season" thing is probably due to there being far too many bars etc in HH now.
By a process of natural selection, some will fail. It's not an easy business.
Those that cater to ex-pats will always have a steady trade and as there are customers in the establishment, they will always attract more.
Survival of the fittest.

Breakfast Trade
Seems very busy in the mornings, but not many 'drinkers' in town, takes me back to the old days when everyone would bolt out of their hotel to buy a T shirt, a couple of tacky bits of wood and rush back again. All the high end hotels still have signs saying don't drink in the bars, don't drink water, ice etc. Too many bars is the order of the day a very hard way to make very little money and now that rents have hit an all time high (40k a month someones paying) it's just going to get harder, but the amount of new sponsors every year never ceases. Why do people who's only experience of a bar is drinking return with their life savings and a glint in their eyes and open something which will have fifty or sixty competitors all trying to attract the same customers. Four bars have opened and closed and opened again in the past three months not to mention the six or seven new ones, has everybody caught 7/11 fever?

Seems quite to me at the moment although some bars still pull in more punters than others because they spend money on a revamp and are in a good location.
A lot of girls I know are talking about going home early or to places like pattaya because of the lack of shagable punters.
There does seem to be more families around this year?
Still I like it nice and quite, I spent a week in Samui not long ago and it was like bennidorm...ugh.

Your friend is right Bangkokney, Pattaya tourists have thinned out considerably over the past month. Songkran here was a huge event on the 19th as usual but many more Thai's than foreigners. Of those foreigners, most appeared to be old hand residents and not tourists. Visit to the beaches the past few days and many are almost empty, 5 rows of beach chairs are down to 1 or 1/2 row. Once the rains get here expect perhaps Pattaya will return to the town of 10 years ago, at least for a few months..LOL. If any of the HH girls are thinking of coming up here, tell them to think again. Too many girls and not enough punters at present. Pete
