Was reading the Bkk post today and came across the elite card article.

Reall great idea, you invest 1million bht in this card and you can get a free massage.

Also reduced green fees at selected golf courses.

But by far the best guess what??? you can own up to 4rai of land, yahoooo.

But wait for it, Thai elite card company must hold the deeds to the land and if you do not renew your membership every year (40,000bht) you must sell the land.

Great i will go and sign up now, (not).

you also get the right to waive the visa runs, but still only good for the real elite of this world. (for the word elite, replace with stupid)

The whole scheme is in disarray.
When launched a year or so ago, Toxin said that he was hoping for around 800,000 (I think) takers in the first year. Needless to say, they have had to rethink their forecasts drastically.
