Sarge, I'm really sorry to hear about what happened - I hope you both recover very quickly.
Just a point, I know you managed to get the registration number, was anyone able to make out the province of registration written below the reg number? That could narrow it down.

Sarge, please check if these look-alikes are anywhere near the hog and helmet the perp had:

Re: Help ID a Farang HIT & RUN Motorcyclist
WOW farang the crash hat is absolutely and exactely the one he was wearing
The bike is as close as dammit (i was however on the other side most of the time) the decals were smaller and more red and around the fuel tank i cant remember any anywhere else on the bike although memory immediately after the crash we had is fuzzy
Took my bike in to get it fixed about 6,000 to fix it and three days
Got to buy clothes he ruined another 3/4 grand
Found out there is a biker meet in Pranburi tonight i will be going just in case and to ask the bikers there for some info
I believe the overwhelming majority of bikers are as law abiding as me and i also think they take great umbrage at aresholes like this perp giving them a bad name/image

Re: Help ID a Farang HIT & RUN Motorcyclist
MrD says not a regular, but a couple of years back for reasons not anything to do with me directly, I became aware of a beligerant middle-aged hog-riding Finn who *used* to hang out at Mr Dans and might well have moved to another watering hole. Generally, he spent about 6 months of each year here over winter. He would get hammered there most days and then go home and (allegedly) abuse his Thai girlfriend (who *was* known to me) to varying degrees. She has, as far as I am aware, moved on.
Now, there is no saying that the two people are one, however -
@MrD - does casting your mind back over a couple of years throw any possible candidates?

Had enough of the trolls. Going to sleep. I may be some time....

Re: Help ID a Farang HIT & RUN Motorcyclist
Just read this thread Sarge, sorry to hear of your accident. I hope you and Mrs S are well on the mend. Gravel rash heals slowly, but it takes a little longer to get over the shock of what has happened.
Be careful when you go to the bike rally as word could get back to the culprit and he could come looking for you.
However, im sure you are correct in thinking most bikers are law abiding and would like to see such a person put away. He will be giving all other farang bikers a bad name.

Re: Help ID a Farang HIT & RUN Motorcyclist
I'm up here in BKK so can't really help. However, as I walked by a big bike rebuild/repair place this afternoon, I checked out every one of them that was in the shop.
Good luck
