We have received notification of the passing of a Hua Hin stalwart, who was well known by many.

Richard Walker, previously of Jungle Juice and Dick's Office passed peacefully at about 8pm last night.

I only met Richard a few times - initially at Jungle juice, and at that time it was only to say hello. However, when I was living on Soi 80, we popped into Dick's Office a few times for breakfast. He always sat and chatted with us in his usual cheerful way, and his breakfast was first class.

Thoughts go to his family. RIP

Richard was there to help me when I started the darts and pool leagues in 2002 so I feel a great gratitude for him. Without his help things would have been much more difficult. R.I.P.

RIP Richard.

I met him a few times when he had Dicks office, with him sharing some sagely advice when I was thinking of buying land and property.
As you say a stalwart of the old ex pat community. They must be having a right old party on the other side with those we have lost over the last couple of years!

We will say our last goodbyes this afternoon at Hua hin temple at 3.30..all welcome to come and celebrate his life here. After the service we will go to Red Piano for some beers, Anthony is doing a buffet for us.Jungle Juice will be a beer stop at some point in the evening. Please let me know if you can come so that we can prepare. Thanks

Sad news indeed. Always remember Dick as a gentleman and a gentle man. Had many a Saturday at Dick's Office which he allowed many of us forum members to use for monthly book swaps. Even after he started to suffer he was always ready to greet us with a great smile and chit chat. Thanks Dick.

Condolences to Johnny and the family.
