Swimming in the ocean in Hua Hin

Yes, a few and kite boarding. It's a little bit rough at the moment for Hua Hin but it's not exactly surfing, maybe half metre waves at the most.

I jumped in near Suan Son Pradipat Beach a couple of days ago and didn't see or feel any jellyfish and more surprisingly the water wasn't that dirty

Very interesting thread but never see remarks about the flags shown at beach locations, indicating if it is safe to swim or not, Suan Son Pradipat Beach has had red flags flying for a couple of weeks now but many people still swim there. Who monitors the sea conditions and changes flags status accordingly? who takes notice of the flags?

I do see notices that red flags are flying quite often. Of course they are flying for a purpose, but TIT where most rules are ignored, and there is nobody there to enforce those rules most of the time.
