DEAD OR ALIVE?????

Post by rcj1959 »

I will be arriving in the area on Sunday night for a two week stay. In reading various online guides it would appear that the combination of the after effects of the Iraqi War, SARS and general worldwide recession is having its effect on Thai tourism generally.
Can anyone tell me if its UNDULY quiet in the area. After all I'm coming to this part of the world for a peaceful holiday but it would be nice if there was some life and no ghosts.
May I have your comments please.

it's pretty dead but I love it there. Been gone one week and can't wait to get back! Planes were empty going back to the US. Cuting my trip home short and heading back directly!

It's pretty quiet all over Asia now. Hua Hin is no exception. The SARS outbreak is nothing to worry about here though. The UK have only had one case less than Thailand (6 there , 7 here).
