swimming pools, any public?

hi all

Only five weeks to go before I arrive in hh, will be staying at a guest house for a few weeks while house hunting, are there any swimm8inmg pools open to the public there, I know that the better hotels there have them, but i am traveling on a budget, I know there is a beach there, is it safe to go swimming, and leave your stuff alone? or will it be gone by the time i get back.

There is a public swimming pool at Sport Villa, about 4 km south of the down town area. The beaches are fairly safe, but I wouldn't leave any valuables unattended as there is then always a risk that somebody might think they need your goods more than you.

Palm Hills Country Club isn't bad also.
Up north of town, just after the airport. About 8 kms.
50 mt pool, 50 Baht for the day and virtually no-one around except staff.
Good view of HH as well.
Millionairres' paradise.
