Bose stereo to Thailand

Post by maccastime »

Relocating to retire in Hua Hin soon.I have a treasured Bose stereo system, not huge, small cube speakers etc.I can box it all up no problem.
Question is,can i bring it from Australia into Bangas? i will have my Thai Lady travelling with me,she has taken similar items to her house in Chang Mai no problems.
Maybe if there is a drama,i could place her name etc on the package, and if asked she could state it is for her house.
Have heard that Thailand does not like us to bring a lot of items when we are relocating,i can understand this, they would like us to spend our cash in Thailand.
Any advice on this muchly appreciated.

It should be no problem if it is a Thai relocating back to Thailand. For a foreigner to qualify he/she must have a work permit.

My (Thai) wife and I shipped an entire 40 ft container full of furnishings and personal belongings with no problem at all and no duty paid. She had lived in the U.S. for a few years and qualified as a returning Thai national and could bring whatever she wanted that was legal to import and for personal use. We made sure to put the shipment and all the paperwork in her (Thai) name to avoid any hassles.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Why would you need Bose stereo and speakers for Thai music, TV or wireless ha, ha????? It's the quantity not the quality.

Quality most definately, with Bose, this is my 2nd system, and i havnt found any other system to match it,unbelievable sound.
Oh and as i mentioned in my post,my Thai lady will be with me,so no doubt her thai music and Karaoke will get a work out with mr Bosse.
