House Safety and Security costs

I'll be in HH soon doing some house shopping... Are there areas that are safer from breakins and what home security measures that we should ask for duing shopping. Also, do I have to bring a man brom BKK to install a home safe and a home security system. Oh I will have a big do yard and abnd some some big parrots in the house.....
any info?[
