Man & Bulldozer or digger cost

Post by Paderborn »

Hi does anyone have an idea what it costs for a man a bulldozer/digger for a couple of hours or half day? We need some land clearing, mainly trees & spikey bushes knocking over.
Thanks Paderborn

Depends where you are, but I doubt you will be far from a man with a tractor and blade that should do the trick. For a couple of hours you should be paying less than 1000 baht, assuming he can drive the tractor to your land rather than have to put it on a low-loader.

Just a word of caution - a huge area outside of our house was cleared a few months ago by a man with his tractor and blade. Things grow so fast here in Thailand, you wouldn't even know it had been cleared now.

Probably be more than 1000 baht, but still surprisingly cheap. Also depends how big the trees are.

I recently had land cleared (740 m2) at Koh Toa, just south of Hua Hin. It took 1 man with a CAT (brought to the land on a low loader) about 2 hours to clear the overgrowth, including a couple of large trees. All the cuttings and rubbish etc were taken away and the land left completely clear. Cost about 5000 BHT. I didn't argue, as I also had them fill and level the land later - if they discounted the clearance I'm sure they would have loaded the price up for the earth they later brought to level the land! I was happy with the job they did.
