Having a store at one of the night markets?

Would this be possible to do once a week? Obviously hire someone thai to be the "shop front" so to speak but does anyone know costs or if it's even possible?

what you have to do is find a Thai person first who knows the answers to this question, or who can go ask around to find out, someone you can trust, speaks some English and then you can sell whatever you want. you won't be able to participate directly or do any work or even be seen at the night market doing anything.

maybe walk around the market with a Thai English speaker and ask about rents. I find Thais will tell another Thai every bit of their own or their neighbors personal business info. Good luck.

he won't last long. he may have been "filling in" for wife or girlfriend for a few minutes. good way to be tossed out of the country. my Thai girlfriend asks me to help her pull down the rolling doors outside her business. "sorry honey, cannot."

why do you always see the bar owner sitting by his till but to scared to put the money in think about it

Maybe not - there is a bar owner (non-thai) opposite the Hilton who works behind the bar full time and cooks a lot of the meals - been here 25 years+

Depends who you're bunging a bung too but I know several non thais happily working here - if you are collared (unlikely) you just get your wallet out!

A good friend of mine was arrested a couple of months ago after being here for many years. Spent 24 hours in the cells and had to part with a small fortune to solve the problem. He's now regularly checked on every level. He cannot possibly risk doing any work again. No staff ---- bar closed (even for a couple of hours)

Yes i know the thai lady selling cakes, and her husband....boyfriend, but i have to say ive seen them dozens of times but never seen him work on the stall, only transport her and her cakes to the few venues they frequent.
