Toilet tank valve replacement

Post by StevePIraq »

I hope someone knows where I could purchase a double push water saving valve for an American Standard toilet.

I have been to Home Pro and Thai Watsuda both say "No Have", any advice is very appreciated.

Well, they are probably the biggest store of the type in Thailand!

On Petchkasem Rd just before that stupid Plearn Wan place. 66 (0)32 522 555

There are a few on Lasada. Hot identical but I think they would work.

Tried Boonthavorn, Thailand's favorite saying "No Have"

Lazada was a good idea, unfortunately none have the same lower configuration.

I may be thinking of a Boonthavorn in a different location, but ISTR there is an American Standard shop in there and they had a catalog of American Standard products, including parts. It's not the Boonthavorn store itself, it's in the attached shopping "mall."

They have an American Standard shop there, but don't sell spares, also the brochure doesn't list the valve as a spare. I will get my wife to phone AS on Monday, luckily we have a spare loo so no panic.

By the way American Standard is not American it is Thai

I have a nearly identical valve on my Moya toilet, I'm thinking this may not be specific to American Standard toilets. I don't know where to buy a replacement but hope you will let us know by posting where you eventually find it.

Actually our valve was very similar to the one in the OP. When it died, our Mr Fixit couldn't get a replacement anywhere. The guy in Home Pro offered him an alternative - works fine.

I looked again at Lazada and decided one did look right so I have purchased from Lazada at 375 Baht including delivery. How can they make it at that price? I probably spent more on fuel trying to find one.
I was mistakenly thinking it was wrong as the image is shown upside down with the outlet at the top.
The are no American Standard markings on the valve so I am sure it is a bought out item.
Only 2 now left in stock

Well I finaly received my valve from Lazada, however the dimension is wrong, I measured 25 cm as the length of the removable section as in the pic below, the 25cm is the total length including the seat which fits to the tank, so for me I need a 29cm which I have just ordered. Another 375Baht so it will not break the bank.
