I generally believe that a solar installation is more complicated (requiring panel, battery storage for evening use, charge controller) than is warranted for a simple fan controlled by a thermostat. I would be happy to wire up a fan and set it to run off of a timer or thermostat if I could be certain there would be no leaks from the installation.
The logistics are having something shipped to a third-country - if we were on 220/50 I would bring it from here.

I was also thinking of installing a few. Please let us know how you go.

Actually they are not complex, they are very simple as they do not require much electrical capacity. The down side is they are not available in Thailand.mudcat wrote:I generally believe that a solar installation is more complicated (requiring panel, battery storage for evening use, charge controller) than is warranted for a simple fan controlled by a thermostat.
