After living in HH for some years we've finally bitten the bullet and purchased a home.
The place is perfect for us regarding location, and it's had a very good renovation about 5 years ago.
But the sliding doors on both the main entrance way and the upstairs bedroom opening onto the patio are cheap and flimsy. The locking mechanism on the top floor door is broken, and the lock dowstairs could be cracked open by a kitten.
I've looked through Home Pro and Thai Watsadu but their door displays are full of the very same style of cheap doors.
This photo below is pretty well what I'm looking for. I've seen this style of door quite a lot on businesses and homes, but never can I find a hardware store which stocks them. I understand that this kind of hardy non-sliding door will probably be fairly expensive, but that is not the issue . . . I'd just like to find a business which can provide me with them.

Windsor can make replacement doors to just about any style you want. I think there is a dealer in or near Hua Hin. Pete

I recently used HH Glass to replace all our windows and doors - they are not the cheapest I’m sure, but in terms of quality and service they are excellent - I’m very happy to endorse them as well.
Re: Good quality doors ...
If on south side of HH, we like the shop off east end of Soi 112. On street nexr to 7/11, right side of that street, about 75 meters from 7/11. They have a large stock of extrusions and replaced all our sliding screen doors. Most shops only stock and use cheap light weight extrusions and rivet on plastic handles. They have that too but also have heavier extrusions with the handle formed by a rib that runs the full height of the door. Even sound heavier - close with a ‘clunk’ instead of a ‘screech’
