Anybody coming from the US anytime soon?

If you're coming from the US soon, and would be willing to help out, I could really use an assist.

I have REALLY wide feet--super wide. So wide that they don't sell running shoes here that fit me. The pair I have are on their last legs (Excuse the pun) and I need new ones within the next month or so.

What we'd be talking about--1 or 2 pairs of shoes (Depending on how spacious your luggage is) shipped to your address direct from either Nike or Amazon. The prices on Nike.com are $130 and $90 respectively. I'd pay for the shoes, and have them delivered wherever you would like, and it would all be through Nike.com.

If somebody could help, I would be EXTREMELY grateful. If you're doing it out of kindness I'd definitely look forward to buying you dinner or a few drinks when you get here.....if you'd like to discuss compensation for your efforts, I'd be happy to discuss that too (But reasonable amounts, please)

Hashing does not require that you wear shoes. A Florida boy grows up barefoot. Forget the shoes. Also, I might suggest that you take a look at the several places that sell shoes that have already run somewhere. Dead Man's shoe's can be bought for 100-190 baht just a bit north of Chom Phol Road which is at the 220km marker on Petchkasem. Then there is another place about 2 - 3 km farther north. The sellers buy used shoes near the Cambodian border and sell here and there. There is another seller just east of the bar plaza in Cha Am.

If I remember correctly Hua Hin is at mile marker 230 - 235. Is that right?

Last call--will do the whole mail thing if nobody willing coming over from the US in the next 3 weeks or so....am willing to pay up to THB2500......total weight is +-8 Lbs. If not will mail over and pay the money to the post office & the Thai taxman instead

Just as a thought - obviously I'm not in the States, but realistically most of the bl**dy shoes there will come from China anyway. Send me a PM with your shoe size...... length, width, ''girth' , the lot and I'll see what is available. My wife's cousin has a clothing business (export mainly) and many contacts, so I'm sure what's available overseas will also be available here.

We're not traveling to Thailand until December, but I'm sure costs will be less from China if going the postage/courier route.

This time I've already special ordered some custom shoes and they've been delivered to the house already--we had a friend-of-a-friend coming this weekend, but they just came back with a "Sorry, no room" situation--understandable, but disappointing!
