What a relief for the lovely little dog and her owners.

I'm also hugely relieved, as every time I looked on the site and saw the title of the post, it just broke my heart.

Glad her dog was returned. It seems the lady that found her (the dog followed her home) has had her for a week. Apparently, she'd posted pictures on facebook without a result then saw one of the many posters that are around.
Bit of a double edged sword as they were assuming that the owners wouldn't be found and they'd bonded with the dog so although knowing it was the right thing to do, it was still a bit of a heartbreak.

They do tag dogs with microchips here, but not many people would go to the bother of finding out if the dog did have one.. Catch-22.

P.S. collar is a good idea, maybe with an inexpensive bluetooth dog tag?

Cracking news! :thumb: Really wasn't holding out much (well any really) hope after a week or so to be perfectly honest - and it was heartbreaking for a softy dog lover like myself...

I was fearing the worst clicking onto this thread, but reading the news really has made my day.
