Yes, it all looks fine, even using the browser on my clunky old Nokia phone.

I'm on IE8 and the side bar only appears at the side when I reduce the zoom level to 77% and I wasn't aware I was on low resolution?

Also, I couldn't edit the part of your post to just the part I wanted to quote in your introduction to the new forum, i.e. the layout and browsers part. That could make for some very long posts in future.

Otherwise, I'm struck by the increased clarity of the new forum!

I'm finding it needs reducing to below 65% (was about 95% earlier) to display correctly in IE8.
Guess it still needs some tweaking. Although Firefox is a better browser, it's worth remembering that over 6O% of European users are using IE according to a survey last week.
Hopefully it's not a case of what works for Firefox won't work for IE and vice-versa.
This high IE usage may change soon following Microsoft being forced to advertise alternative browsers when Windows is being updated but most users probably won't bother changing to something unfamiliar.

Using FF3.6 and Vista. Everything seems to be functioning normally. Like the new look. Good job!

By the by, just tested the Bang Saphan site and I have the same issue with the sidebar there, when I go beyond 77%.

Using Vista and it's working fine. Posting replies is much easier - layout clear. Well done all you techy people. Can you load my MP3 now please? :naughty:

Using IE8, screen resolution 1280x800 and it all fits fine on 96%.

On Safari (iPhone) you get the following layout, but once you scroll down a little bit past the chunk on the right to the 'Latest Topics' bar it all works as normal, so no real issue. Think Apple won't allow a Firefox application for their iPhone, one of the restrictions with using them I guess ...

All very impressive though, well done.

I really like the new layout, clear and easy to use.

Congratulations on a very professional turnaround :thumb:

We have experienced varying results with IE at differing zoom levels on different resolutions, wide-screens are the best performing. If you stretch the window you can often see it appearing and disappearing, definitely something non-standard about how IE renders the code as the pages have been programmed to fit a percentage of the screen and are not fixed width.

As stated Safari doesn't play at all as it reads code unlike any other browser so we suggest Mac users stick to Firefox.

We will be experimenting with other side-bar options once the main glitches have been fixed and the board is running smoothly again.

Download this and browse with it instead: www.getfirefox.com

Once you get used to it you'll never switch back.

Yeah! Gotta say that that's pretty cool admin and those doing the work. Lots of welcome extras and lay-out improvement, love the posting page with the font colours and all the emoticons on the left for quick use. :thumb:

The whole lay-out is just more slick and the whole screen/images/writing/avatars are a lot more sharp and clear, lovely. Like the currency/weather boxes, cool.

Using Firefox myself and no dramas, everything is where it's supposed to be.

Just a quick, obvious question for many here I'm sure, but where it says "Legend:Administrator [bots] Global Moderators". What are [bots] on a forum? :?

Looks good here. Laptop with Vista and FF.
I guess I will get used to the small scroll bar in the middle of the page (to see the latest forum topics), but what I miss is the button to skip directly to the last post. Any change we get that back?
For the rest well done HHAD!
