A thank you to the HHAD forum

Post by naab thong »

Some time ago we starting asking our customers how they found our restaurant and a number of people who would probably not have found us ,other than by word of mouth, told us they had read about us on this forum. We decided to take an advertorial once it was explained to us how it works. It works. We started getting first time visitors on the first day :D Much cheaper and more effective than our magazine adverts so far. So........

A big thank you to the HHAD forum

Nice to see that the Forum has been pro active in promoting your place.

As I am moving down to HH from the Isaan region I am wondering if you seve Tam Thai(less fiery than Som Tam)...got a taste for it recently.

So what is the name and where is it?

Thank you for the thank you.

We understand that the advertorials are not for everyone but for those smaller bars and restaurants (of which there are hundreds in Hua Hin) that run a professional business, care about their customers and feedback, and want a low cost way of reaching a large audience it should really be a no-brainer.

Hi Lev,

I noticed that this particular advertorial (Naab Thong) is not a "sticky" thread like the other advertorial threads. Is this a change in policy or just an oversight?

HHF

This is not our advert thread. Just wanted to say a big thank you to the guys for what they are doing for us. Will answer any questions about our restaurant on the advert thread.

I know, but I was talking about your advert thread. Since my post it has been made a sticky thread so I guess it was just an oversight.

I must say, and have wanted to for a bit but haven't because I'm not in residence/business in HH presently, that I really don't see why many more don't take out an advert on here when the site has so many hits and views (beyond HH too), especially for the quoted prices that have been mentioned when the "Micheal" has been taken by some.

Seems cheap to me really if you have a restaurant or small business, unless of course, you're 'Kii-niao' or have the nick-name 'Fast Eddie'. :?

Easy to see the benefits like for the folks that have started this here thread. All advertising is good advertising.

Disclaimer - I have never met anyone on this forum apart from one and have no vested interests in anything as I inhabit space and time more that 600km away, just visit the lovely town when time allows me the chance.

I've been :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: for many years about the benefits of using the site for promotion but most seem to get close, get cold feet or shy away. The only one so far I was influential on was CoCo 51. I get close but then I get banter (Forum wingers) about getting freebies so I back off, I have also been told it is not my job to promote business for the HHF

Many feel that after maybe an initial blast they can then rely on word of mouth thing. I'm not sure how many really know about marketing and sales techniques

Once heard at a sales conference in my Corporate institutional days. why do Coca Cola need to advertise.

Word of mouth is generated by this forum Richard, that is the point of it - we would just appreciate a little reciprocation now and then from the businesses that profit regularly from our presence.

Additionally we do not think there is a 'Coca Cola' equivalent company in Hua Hin.
