HHForum Ten Year Celebrations
HHForum Ten Year Celebrations
Hua Hin Forum will be ten years old in January so we thought it fitting to have a gathering of some description to celebrate.
In order to give enough notice we need to start thinking about it now so this poll has been set up to decide what type of event people are interested in.
We would like to support our sponsors wherever possible so could have a sea cruise which would be ticket only and with limited availability (30-40). Or there is the Fishing lodge which makes a pleasant afternoon as does a beach gathering. Alternatively a bar or restaurant evening do (however this could be the natural progression from an afternoon outing).
Early to Mid January would probably be best in order catch the most people here. Please only use this thread if you are genuinely interested in attending and feel free to suggest alternative options to those in the poll. We'll run it for a few weeks before the decision is made, and we have a good idea of numbers, we can then move on to finalising the date.

Hi,sounds like a good idea and hope i can attempt, ill going back home at 22 jan. but i think the cruise idea sounds good because people have too stay together and not go home after short time if they are a little bored.just my opinion and im sure many would have there "freedom" to do the opposite.see you guys around.

At least I'll be around for this one!
Voted for the fishing lodge - don't know why
On a serious note, we've hosted quite a few events so I'm happy to offer the lodge as a venue to those who want it
From a quiet chat to an all out party with disco & vids - the choice is there to be made.

Hey SM, that party boat is much more like a bar than a boat!!!
I will be around anyway and happy to do anything

I agree, photos don't do it justice. It's larger than most Hua Hin bars, better equipped and designed for fun. However, like JW, all of the proposed events sound good.JW wrote:Hey SM, that party boat is much more like a bar than a boat!!!

Hello,
my wife tends to get seasick very easily, I am not exactly mad about fishing, so I opted for the beach party.
I suppose without any fishing the lodge would be fine, too.Lol
Looking forward to meeting all of you!

P.S. I suppose my wife would not get seasick if the cruise was limited to a river.

Unless it's between 1-3 Jan. I'm afraid it will be yet another case of a missed opportunity, as we fly back to La La Land early hours of 4 Jan. Hope it turns out great and look forward to eventually seeing the pics.Lev wrote:Early to Mid January would probably be best in order catch the most people here.

Complexity is so simply overrated
Re: HHForum Ten Year Celebrations

If it's a beach gathering, I'll bring some free goodies/peace offerings for everyone.
Re: HHForum Ten Year Celebrations
We'd be quite happy to provide our SunCat1 solar-electric catamaran as a venue for the gathering.
If there are people scared of boats and waves, we can make it a river cruise along the calm and beautiful Pranburi river and then turn it into a party.
Sound system and bar on board.
We will attend whatever venue is chosen anyway.
