Forgot to mention, the time saved in terms of administering a large network more than makes up for any time spent learning the thing
Libraries gave us power, then work came and made us [url=http://linux.com/]free[/url]. What price now for a shallow piece of dignity?

Hi everyone. Trying to set up Ubuntu 10.04 on a new machine, no luck so far. possible the disks are no good & maybe even a damaged CD writer, it does burn but only 1 of the 3 disks burned w/Ubuntu shows files therein. downloaded Ubuntu ISO from http://www.ubuntu.com/ file size 716,230 Kb (downloaded twice, both files same size). the CD will read & boot from an XP OS disk in the CD tray (BIOS is set to read CD first) but with the Ubuntu disk in the tray it boots straight through to XP which is currently installed.
If some kind sole in HH can set this up for me drinks etc on me.

If the other 2 discs have nothing on them you'll need to burn them again.
The first disc has to be 'bootable' have a look at :
