Hello,
for a couple of weeks we have had problems with our True Vision satellite reception.
It has been getting worse lately.
The picture becomes 'blurred', then it disappears and the usual advice box appears.
The reception keeps coming on and going alternately every 30 seconds or so.
Does anyone have the same problems or is ours a unique case?
Thanks for any info.
Kind regards.

We live just up the road from you, and our True reception has been perfect.

Sounds like either the cable connection at the Dish or Box or both have become loose (try tightening them) or your dish has gone out of alignment try adjusting yourself but use very slight movements (have someone watch TV and tell you when the reception is ok) or call retailer you bought system off to come and fix.

Have someone from TrueVisions come and take a look at it. In my experience, they have always been pretty decent whenever I had some problems. The only time they were unhelpful was when I told them that I'd lost all my premier league games...

lots of wind the last few weeks. it just takes a little push to move your dish if it is loose. check your dish and coax connectors.
near the coast, salt air eats connectors alive. so undo the exterior coax connector, inspect the connectors and clean them with alcohol. switch contact cleaner is what you really need, but you will not find that in HH. then wrap the connectors in black electrial tape to keep water and air out.
a very small change in dish position can cause a big drop in signal.
how old is your install? the LNA on the dish (that thing on the end of the arm sticking out) could be failing. it is powered by the receiver via the coax.

Re: Erratic True Vision Reception
Hello,
thanks for your kind advice.
My wife followed the advice usually appearing in that box when there is a problem with the reception.
But the sound keeps on being 'cut off' for seconds at a time.
Kind regards,
