Site specific ultra slowness with True?

Post by Homer »

This is day 3 where some sites either take minutes to load or time out. http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ reports the sites are up. The sites are ones I use regularly. Other sites speed is as usual, as are the results at speedtest.net. Anyone else having this problem with True?

Yes, I've been having the same problem. Download speeds have remained good according to speed tests, just not actually downloading anything :?

Good to know I'm not hallucinating. My workaround is the subscription VPN I use for other reasons. Slower than normal speed but WAY faster than now.

for 4 days we and our neighbour also ha slow internet and 6 times it just disconnect, today a technician came buy, and put up our speed but didn't mention anything about why it stopped, only told us that we could call again if something was still wrong.

While I never quite understood the reason why, using True some sites load much more quickly with proxy.trueinternet.co.th (port 8080) entered as a proxy server. On my preferred browser (Opera v.12) that setting can be easily enabled/disabled within the browser. The bad news is that using the True proxy server *slows down* as many sites as it speeds up.

The sites that need the True proxy server to load, when using 3BB there is no such need.

Getting reports of difficulty in accessing HHF from TRUE users.

Please contact the ISP, this is their problem, not the forum's.

Suggestion: Try to change DNS server to see if that helps.
