Cube pork belly, add oil and shallot to wok/frypan, sweat, add more shallot and cubed pork, add a large knob of sweet yellow sugar, add fish sauce, brown, serve on top of rice. Serve :)

I have had two wives who make moo wan for a business and it is nothing like what you describe

it is thinly sliced lean pork marinated in palm sugar soy sauce and nam pla then dried in the sun then when really dry fried quickly and should be a red colour and crisp

Edit wife says your recipe is called moo wan sigh khoa klook guppie with kai teow :? :? :oops: :oops:

Cynical much? Just try it trying to give a 5 ingredient recipe for your belly you old bastard... :cheers:

I'm sure there are several versions of Moo Wan

Despite several 'unorthodox' posts from Misterclean, his description certainly is commonly called Moo Wan.

Surely we don't need to fight over food recipes! However, if they are cooked on the street with dirty water, that could be a different kettle of fish!
Only the crumbliest, flakiest Winkie....
