The restaurant formerly next to the Cafe 99 has moved. It's now in a shop house on 102. Joe's Pizza is about 200 m past the 45 degree bend in 102, at the '0' in the red label 'Soi 102' on this map in a 3-unit shophouse.

^ "JOE" has had 4 restaurants in 4 different locations in the past 6 months.

There is a reason for this . . .

Stickman's review of Chau Lay was a rave one. I have eaten tere several times and agrree the food is good and the portiond large. I am surprised that many expats heredismiss it as a tourist trap. It is I understand favored by Chinese Thais particularly. He also talks about smaller dock side food stalls . Worth reading

As mentioned in another thread Kurry Loa on soi 102 is closed for good, as planned. Good luck to you Mike. You, your wife and shop will be missed.

This thread is for news. Reviews make the thread less worth reading.

For the last couple of months they have been building a small building behind the Rocco condo sales office next to Condochain. Out front now is a sign saying 'Taste of India'. I'm not sure if it is the former sales building or the new building or both, I've not had chance to investigate on foot but it looks like we have another Indian resaurant to try.

I noticed that the other day when passing by and there seems to be glass fronted restaurant back behind it. I'm not normally around that area much so I don't know what it was before but it seemed to be set back a bit from the pavement.

Wasn't the Indian restaurant in Collindale (spelling?) called Taste of India?
