Re: Hua Hin Restaurant News
I just drove by Mr Beam and the roll up door was up about two feet. I poked my head in and met the owner doing refurbishments. He said they will be open again in five days. He had taken down the signs because he’s putting new ones up. I made the necessary edit in Google Maps.

Re: Hua Hin Restaurant News
Been six weeks now, to the day and Mr. Beam is still shuttered. I don’t know what’s going on. The last few times I’ve driven by, the roll-up door is all the way down, so there is no way to inquire, like I did last time.Jack_Batty wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 3:45 pmI just drove by Mr Beam and the roll up door was up about two feet. Re: Hua Hin Restaurant News
I have to admit, I have not been to a Hooters since St. Patrick’s Day 2010. I was so underwhelmed and then we got invaded with Buffalo Wild Wings (Seattle), and they did it right. I will definitely visit a few times and I hope they change my mind. I am cautiously optimistic.huahin4ever wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 9:43 pm Can't wait to get the extra spicy buffalo wings. If they taste the same as in Hooters @ Nana I will be a happy chap.

The discussion on Hooters, which looked a long way from opening when I was in MV earlier today, is not news, so I've started a separate thread for you to discuss the place viewtopic.php?f=16&t=40589
An actual opening date will be news, and can be shared in either thread.

We went to Father Teds last night, and was very surprised to see McDonalds (across the road) has gone.

News to me. My girl, who seems to have the pulse on everything happening in Hua Hin, believes it is just renovations. I hope that is the case, because I haven’t dined there yet, and I’ve heard that the food is really good.huahin4ever wrote: ↑Tue Apr 19, 2022 12:02 am Anyone know what is going to open where White Crown in Soi 94 was?

There is a sign outside, Firepit I think or something similar, sounds like a franchise?Jack_Batty wrote: ↑Tue Apr 19, 2022 1:47 amNews to me. First BK and now McD’s. Those places must have really relied on the after-hours crowd after Bintabaht and the karaoke complex shut down for the night. I wonder how long it will be until one or both move to the area around 94?

Well, burger king has been shut for ages, so not much chance I would suggest.Jack_Batty wrote: ↑Tue Apr 19, 2022 10:31 am First BK and now McD’s. Re: Hua Hin Restaurant News
Once Oasis is up and running, coupled with Wonderland, the existing bars on 94, and the promise of future business at Maldives, it will only follow that the usual, late-night, bar-closing culinary suspects shall appear. All those drunk bar customers (being optimistic that, yes, there will one day be a time of a lot of bar customers) will want that greasy fast food again. I think BK and McD’s will be there…somewhere.caller wrote: ↑Tue Apr 19, 2022 12:42 pmWell, burger king has been shut for ages, so not much chance I would suggest.Jack_Batty wrote: ↑Tue Apr 19, 2022 10:31 am First BK and now McD’s.
