I fancy a good hearty 1/2lb burger..but where..??

I have just read a Lee Child novel, & the main character Jack Reacher kept going to the local Diner & having a big 'homemade' burger topped with melted cheese & a 'squirrel's nest' of shoestring fries all around it..
Well at the time of reading I was stuck in Issan with rice & pig's offal to savour daily..
So folks, I'm back in Hua Hin, damn hungry, & as yet do not know where to find a satisfying burger..??
(Does the XXXL restaurant do smaller items than their Monsta offering..??).
There's 7 pages here relating to Pizzas & the good, bad, ugly places to eat them, well sod pizza..(to me
they're over-rated & daft money for summat that leaves you still hungry).

WHO DOES BIG BURGERS, MADE IN-HOUSE, & COOKED TILL DARK BROWN IN HH..??

XXL does do smaller burgers and they are very tasty but I haven't been there for a while.
I think they might be 'quarter pound' size, you could always get a double.

The Thread for Best Pizza in Hua Hin is, I think, at least 10+ pages long. Usual Suspect has brought up a great question, (if it hasn't already been brought to the forum's attention), where to go for the Best Burger In Hua Hin? My personal favorite is the cheeseburger served at the visually stunning Black Mountain Golf Course restaurant. Any other suggestions?

I know things have changed and there are more eateries around - but I always used to get my burgers from HHH and B and cook them at home. That always avoided any disappointment!

The French butcher does a great burger, if you want to buy and cook yourself.

Other than that, I'd say give XXL a go if you haven't been there before. Not your usual fare at all, although perhaps not to everyone's taste.

I'm with Margaret, though - the best burgers are home-cooked (and probably home-made from scratch, though we haven't gone that far yet).
