Grilling in balcony

Post by Juice81 »

Hi!

I have a question concerning about how thais keep rules and regulations about grilling. Can you grill with gas in a balcony of a condo? We're coming to Hua Hin next spring for a month and I found out that our apartment doesn't have an oven so grilling would be a nice choice for making food at home. We have little children and can't always go out for lunch and dinner.

Condo's don't normally allow gas for safety reasons. You can buy an electric turbo convection oven for around 1,000 Baht and an even cheaper electric grill.

Yes, get something like this locally (under 20 quid) - we've been using this exclusively since our conventional electric oven gave up the ghost, and it does the job really well.

Yes, the little turbo oven is actually pretty awesome. I got mine at Makro and I've used it extensively since then. I've even baked a few rather impressive cakes. :thumb:

I'm on my second one now - not sure how she managed to do it but my wife cracked the glass bowl on the first one, so the replacement bought from Makro is made from stainless and same price, great little machines that can do most of what a big oven will do, quicker and cheaper and especially with the ss version, very easy to clean
