Houmous in Hua Hin?

Post by t080752 »

Good morning all, spent the last couple of days seeking out houmous for my daughter. None of the big supermarkets seem to have it. Or even Tahini, the key ingredient to make it. Has anyone ever seen Houmous in Hua Hin, and if so where?

Hi, I haven’t seen or looked for ready-made hummus, or jars of tahini, but if you have a blender it's quick and easy to make tahini. Lots of online recipes, and thankfully sesame seeds are dirt cheap here.

Have you tried the Gourmet Food Court in Blueport? I don’t know that they have it there but probably the most likely place in HH.

Hummus is available at Villa Market (2-4 brands) & Big C (1 so-so tasting brand). Villa also sells tahini paste.

Yes. They had none at all. That is where I would have expected to find it.

Found the houmous in Market Villa, along with a huge amount of other interesting and tasty things from the UK. Though prices are certainly high, managed to spend 5k without much to show for it.

Thanks for the advice and help. My daughter is happy with her houmous.

Do you mean the Macs in Market Village or the other one? What is considered "downtown" in Hua Hin?

Thank you. I've also heard that the rib joint next to Father Ted's is good.

Green Onion has closed it's doors and has a for sale sign on it.
