MP's aide slain in Hua Hin
Prachuap Khiri Khan _ An assistant to a Democrat MP was shot dead by two assailants in the resort town of Hua Hin on Wednesday night.
Pol Col Amnuay Worayawisut, Hua Hin police chief, said Chuphan Doknangyaem, an assistant to Chalermchai Sri-on, Democrat MP for constituency 2 and owner of the Khae Khao Hua Hin Hotel, was drinking beer in a shop at Ban Samo Riang community when two men arrived. They shot him at point blank range, killing him, before fleeing.
Pol Maj-Gen Detnarong Suthicharnbancha, the provincial police commander, said an investigation revealed Chuphan's shooting had been an act of revenge after a quarrel between his son and a group of teenagers from Ban Don I-klung on Tuesday night left one person injured when a pistol was fired.
He said the two attackers had been identified. Police were gathering evidence before seeking permission from the provincial court to arrest them.
The two, from Samo Phrong in Hua Hin, were also wanted for another murder.

I heard about these two shootings last night.
There were also unsubstantiated rumours about others that happened just outside of town. If true, could be that they're related.
For a westerner, HH is still a safe town. These vendettas are almost exclusively Thai on Thai. There are far more dangerous towns to be in as a forigner in Thailand.
