New Year's greetings from His Majesty the King

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on New Year's Eve gave all Thais a New Year's blessing, wishing them all the very best.

The revered and beloved Thai monarch wished all Thais a "Happy, Safe, Prosperous and Successful New Year".

He urged the people to create and sustain good understanding with each other with love, sincerity, as well as to always have clean and brightened minds.

The monarch explained that this is for mutual goodwill and cooperation, through which all parties can amicably join together in a strong force to smoothly forge benefits for the nation and society, and to achieve better indiividual lives as they wished.

"May the sacred Gods protect you all from dangers and hardships and bestow on you a perfect and successful life throughout the New Year of 2006," the beloved Thai monarch said.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Patriarch also wished all Thais a "Happy and Prosperous New Year".

The head of the Buddhist Sangkha called for the Thai people to conduct good deeds in 2006 to pay tribute to His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of the 60th anniversary of the beloved monarch's ascension to the throne.

The Supreme Patriach also urged all Thai people to review and correct themselves, using their precious lifetimes to do good and meaningful things for themselves, their families, society and the nation.
