A cannon believed to be around 200 years old has been uncovered in the middle of Sanam Luang in Bangkok.

Thai media reported the cannon might have dated back to the reign of King Rama II (1809 to 1824). It is 3.05m long with a 40cm muzzle.

Hmmm, if you look with a magnifying glass at the cannon picture, it looks like it says "Made in China"

200 years old, ancient? In the USA perhaps, but surely not in Thailand? And in the UK it would be described as 'old', or maybe just second-hand/used... :laugh:

Historians place the early 1800s near the end of the Early Modern Period. But that doesn't make a good headline.
