This event seems to be on until Sunday evening.
There are lots of stalls down on the beach at the junction of the main road and Ruamjit Road.
Tons of yummy food and pretty cheap too......
There is live music on every night, sounds like some good ska/rocky stuff and a mix of Thai traditional and modern.
Every day at 7am, and again in the afternoon at 4pm, there are free (yes, FREE) birdwatching trips out to the reservoir and nature park.
We went on Sunday and it was wonderful, the chap was really knowledgeable about the local birdlife and took the time to help me find the right species in my bird book.
He'll take you out in a rickety old jeep and you'll do the back roads. It was a couple of hours of real relaxation and education.
If you fancy it, either sign up at the "bird stall" or turn up at 7am/4pm and look for the chap with the floppy hat and goatee. They are based next to the Police Box on Ruamjit Road, opposite the Siam bank.
Otherwise, come down and check out the night stalls and gorgeous grub!
Rach x
PS Sorry I don't know more details of who is organising it or who to contact, but I can't read Thai, yet!

Cha-Am Fish Eating/Squid Catching/Bird Watching Festival
It's either cut down on beer or the kids' new gear. It's a big decision in a town called Malice.

Glad to pass on a little bit of info.
If you do come down you may see me.... I'm a Madonna wannabe (if Madonna wanted to be 17 stone and from Essex).
I can be found following the coconut ice-cream woman around.......
