Muggings in Cha-am

Post by charleyboy »

My Swedish brother in-law was mugged last week on second road in Cha-am.
Silly man! He'd decided to leave his room on Soi Cattareya at 0100 and go for a walk.
He was confronted by a Thai Guy on a motorbyke.
Let's make this a short story...... He went with the Guy, he took him into open country and brandished a gun, pistol whipped him twice and took a 2 baht gold chain plus wallet.

Don't go walking about alone after midnight!

Is this a wind up?
Going with a complete stranger at this time on
a motorcycle is asking for trouble!
Guess he has learnt his lesson and could have been much worse!

Could he have been wearing an MC taxi vest? If not, yes I agree, the man was a bit crazy to go with him. Pete

I've lived, and been to, a lot of places, some very nice, some very bad.

I wouldn't take a ride with a stranger, especially at 0100, anywhere, even Beverly Hills! (especially Beverly Hills)

Yep, have to agree with other posts charleyboy..... does sound like your brother-in-law has a dose of muppet-itus if he's getting on the back of a complete stranger's bike at 1am..... now why would he want to do that? :naughty:

Let's get this thread in context. It is nothing to do with "muggings in Cha-am". It is a sad story of a gay pick up that went wrong. Instead of leaving this misleading title where everyone can see it, shouldn't it moved into Nightcrawlers where it belongs?

The title was even more misleading before we changed it! Looking back on the thread it does seem to be in need of another change.
