Hua Hin or Cha-Am?

Post by sandemb »

Where to move to? Decided we are moving to either, Surin was a thought for a while, but been researching Cha-Am and doesn't look too bad. Nice houses at reasonable rent and still has a few good bars. Also close to HH, so could catch up with the right forum members (still owe a few Heinies there). Any info or feed back appreciated. Looking for 2-3 br house in Cha-Am, so a weekend on the piss would be great if you want to get out of HH, and we could find a spare bed in HH when we need one. All ideas much appreciated. OAP from Aus not looking good if we move, but refuse to go thirsty!!!

We opted for Hua Hin in the end. If you look hard enough, you will find Hua Hin comparable for prices. Good luck in your search.

Just watched recent youtube vid of Ch. Traffic doesn't look too bad and HH is only 'just' down the road anyway. Will book a place in HH for about a month next year to sort it all out. Thanks for advice.

Although it applies to both towns, I think you will find that Cha Am gets more Bangkokians at the weekend, so like HH the roads are busy on S&S and holidays, but unless you need to spend all your time driving, it's not really an issue and as already commented, HH is only a 20 min journey away!!

S & S no probs as only have a beer on days with a t in it! Wednesday is today, so no probs. Sun is first day of week, so no probs then! Besides, let the taxi worry about weekend driving!
