I know, old thread, but for the records

Stayed at the regent (wing) March 05

kinda OK, staff very friendly but also very inefficient. Pool of the Wing is seprate, quiet and nice. Beach is not that nice.

Springfield:
Stayed there December 05
Staf and service very good, professional and proficient.
beach same same Regent.

i'd prefer Springield.

never actually stayed at either place so really can't talk about the cuisine or service.

I've a condo next door to the regent chalet ......if you stay there you will be significantly closer to more restaurants within walking distant.....

It's really a tossup between the the Regent property and Springfield but the chalet is probably the best of the three......if you stay at Springfield, do they give you a discount on the golf course? That could make a difference.

good luck with it

Stayed at the Regent for a week in April last year, very nice place, staff friendly and very helpfull.

The only thing I did'nt like, was the fact that no children were allowed in the bar, I can't remember the name of it, the one at the bottom of the steps that leads to the pool area. Because we had our grand daughter with us we could not use the bar.

Last time I was there, kids were not really a problem, as long as with the parents

The bar itself remained empty most of the times though.
