Best "cheaper" hotel with nice pool

Post by hawk_0214 »

We are coming to HH for 2-3 days at the end of January/beginning of February. I would love to stay at the Hilton, but cannot afford it.

Our priorities are:

- have nice swimming pool
- close to walk to town for food/drink/shopping or rent a moped
- walking to good section of beach

I'd like to get below 1600 baht/night, maybe this is not possible.

I have never been to HH, and all the maps seems to be not to scale, so it is hard to judge how far places are away.

Thanks in advance.

Jed Phii Nong hotel, P.P. Villa, Sailom (Sirin) all in the price range, with swimming pool, near restaurants, shopping and beach.

From my experience you may have a problem.

Back in December I tried booking somewhere for February. Most places I tried were full, i.e City Beach and Grand Plaza plus a few others. There were vacancies if I was prepared to stay outside the centre of HH.

Whether this is still the cae I don't know?

Good Luck.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found sites for Jed Phii Nong hotel (http://www.jed-pee-nong-hotel.com) and Sailom (http://sailomhotelhuahin.com) on the Internet, Jed Pee Nong looks good, I have an inquiry to them. Sailom is too expensive (over 3000 baht) and I am still looking for a site with P.P. Villa.

There are 3 places here under 1600B:

Also, that Jed Pee is here at US$34 (just over 1300Baht) for a standard room:

Thanks for all the good advice on hotels, this board is very usefull!

I tried to book a couple of hotels via their direct web sites, but I got no answers to my reservation inquiries. They probably do not check their emails very often. I ended up at Hua Hin Suites for 28-30 Jan for 1550 baht/night via http://www.res24.com. Hope it is OK, it looks fine online.
