sport villa long term rental town house

Post by jingjoe »

I have spent a few days looking around hua hin,and the place that best suits my needs, price range etc could be sport villa.
Its close to becc school for my son, close to the beach, and language school for my visa and market village.
They look a bit tired on the outside, but they have reasonable facilities swimming pool, gym restaurant, taxis out front.
Does any one have any opinions on the place, nice place to live, noisy construction going on,too hot inside to live, break ins etc.
Somewhere better to look at, at a similar price?
cheers

For the price you cant beat it, the pool is a real bonus, free wifi, and good facilities on tap.

I have spent a month there before and would have had no problems spending more time there.

thanks bingo bango,it seems like good value,i looked at some newer places but they were more than double the price, and i really don't want to cut down on my golf days or miss out on the odd western meal, although some of those new condo buildings in town are fantastic..apart from the hefty rental price

i looked at a few rooms at the condochain, the location is fantastic in my opinion, the common areas in the building were quite tidy, but the 2 rooms the office lady showed me were pitifully sad,one of the one bedders had good views of the ocean, but the balconies don't give much privacy, the paint was peeling off on most walls, shower curtain and bathroom mouldy, furniture appalling,2 single beds pushed together for a larger bed and she was asking 18000 amonth on a long term contract.I figured if the owner didn't give a crap about the condo then i wasn't going to stay there either.
It would probably make a good fixer upper at the right price.
I really need 2 separate bedrooms for when my son comes and stays as well

Yes, great position and yes, many places are 'tired' but not all. Going rates depend on outlook, size and which floor but I guess I have been lucky in the two places I've had here over the last three years. Never paid more than 10K/month but never had a two bedroom one

I paid 10,000 for 1 month for a room on the 5th floor,
about 1200 for Electric/Water etc (had the air con on alot of the time so decent value)
It is 300 Baht to clean your room

I enjoyed staying there but it was a bit too far out of town for my liking.
The only things I regret are the things I didn't do
