fantastic service from Goanna's.

Post by Morten »

Hi again.

I just recived the most fantastic service from Goanna's.

As you maby see in my other topic I booked room to stay at Goanna's in april, (i go to see my girlfriend)

I wanted to give my girlfriend flowers on valentines day, but if i send flowers via Internet i could spend 6000 baht, so I write email to Goanna's ask if they could help me ... next day they had answerd.. yes offcause, and on valentines day my girlfriend recived beautiful flowers..

and the cost of the flowers is just added to my roombill when i come in thailand..

What a fantastic service, thank you very much.

Best regards

Morten Fjellerad.

Good one Rod -

I hope we can all enjoy the very high standards of service (albeit of a different nature) once your modifications are complete.

Johnnyk, whats the scoop on Goannas, this place seems fated to be constantly for sale.Willo Wilson did not have it for too long after doing refurb on it but in those days you could sit outside and watch the world go by even after 2 am when the unsuccessful girls meandered home after the Hilton closed. He orginally leased out the bar next door to a swiss guy who called it Bullseye. Then after a lease dispute Peter took it on and sold on to Laisy Daisy which failed miserably. Then the Aussies took it on and virtually rebuilt it even putting aircon in all rooms upstairs. Its a great place to take kids or your partner.Never any hassle.Perhaps its in the wrong location on a quieter street but thats the beauty of it.Wee history lesson there but does anyone remember what it was called before Willo Guest house.Perhaps also a salutory reminder for anyone thinking of going into the bar/guesthouse business

Digger, Goanna's has not been sold, but is going to through some more renovations that will lead to a change of direction from the current services offered. As far as I know it was a private residence before Peter took it on.

It was for sale for about 4 or 5 million. A lot of money for a 4-room guesthouse to say the least.
A new establishment will open in September offering different services with more revenue potential.
